So there is this really pretty neighborhood in Brooklyn named Carroll Gardens. They had this event my friend Courtney let me know about. It was pretty awesome. The concept of it was, you either donate items or pay to get in. And than there is just all sorts of random things everywhere free for the taking. You take whatever you want, anything and absolutely everything you want for the price of admission which was 5 bucks, or 3 if you RSVP’ed in time. They also had really good Mexican food and Sangria! Yum! it was pretty hot as well! Never the less very fun!
Also Courtney and I were going to go to the Shake Shack for some milk shakes well to bad there was at least 100 people in line. It’s insane, If I worked there and saw that line, I think I would quit, you don’t understand the insane popularity of this place until you go, the fact that people actually wait up to an hour in line, in the heat, for a simple burger, fries, and a shake, wow! Okay it is pretty good though! While we there we were in aw by the public art display. A British artist has placed 31 steel castings of himself on buildings around Madison Park. At first i though it was rather well dumb, but than seeing it in person it all comes together. I can’t really explain it until you see it for yourself. There is a picture of one figure on a building and than me with the one on the ground. Enjoy.
Much love!
The Ultimate of mirror photos at the Met! Lunch on the Met steps? A cool Bamboo forest being built up top of the Met all summer long! The Dalai Lama being escorted, whom two of my roommates saw give a speech. And the American Flag on my way to Ikea to deck out my Apt for the Summer!
These three pictures are a lovely view from the Met. My new roomies and I, even though Rose will be leaving us :( and the Wunmi is the past roommate of where I am staying! And finally the two crazy ladies and I, what would I do without them!
I get crazy…somebody get my straight jacket!
